Experience:

• Prof. Dr.  Mahabaleshwar Hegde BSc, BSc(Hons). MSc. PhD taught biochemistry at post graduate level for 33 years at Pune University, training students for MSc, and guided for M. Phil and PhD degrees. In early 1980s, he acquired expertise  in  Molecular Biology, Genetic engineering, DNA sequencing  at Albert Einstein College of Medicine,  and was Visiting Scientist at Sloan Kettering Cancer research Center.

  Post retirement, since last nearly 20 years, Prof Hegde, has focused his research on the role of omega-3 fatty acid for human health  at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), Pune. He put forth Flax Biovillage Concept in 2007 and established Center for Innovation in Nutrition in Health and Disease (CINHD) to develop omega-3 products (egg milk and chicken etc) by resourcing omega-3 from linseed. Further Prof Hegde established Real World Nutrition Laboratory, a not for profit company, for validating omega-3 and other nutritional products a link between research in University and industry.

Experience:

Mr Manohar L Panse, joined RWNLF as Managing Director in 2013. Earlier he has worked in Dr Reddy’s Laboratory, Tans Asia Biomedical, Monozyme and Span Diagnostics at senior positions.  He had advance training at International Institute of Immunodiagnostics at New York USA. He has long experience in technology transfer and scale-up operations. He is approved manufacturing chemist for parental products, diagnostic reagents and medical devices. He is instrumental in translating the research at BVDU to commercializable nutraceuticals for human health.
